The Center for Heart Attack Prevention (CHP) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality through early detection, education, and policy change. CHP’s core initiative is the deployment of a mobile coronary artery calcium (CAC) screening unit that delivers cardiovascular imaging directly to communities.
The mobile unit will have a fully equipped CT scanner (Siemens Perspective 128) that will be staffed by licensed technicians and provide on-site CAC scans using low-dose CT technology. Results will be rapidly delivered to both patients and their primary care providers, enabling timely follow-up and intervention.
Through a “buy-one-give-one” model, CHP aims to expand access and identify hidden or underdiagnosed heart disease early.
We will officially launch Q1 2026 and will be accepting requests from underserved Bay Area communities to provide free CAC scan Q2 2026.
